I'm kind of in a weird headspace at the moment. I've put major purchases on hold until I can better forecast the market.

If it were me I'd spend some time troubleshooting it.

One thing you haven't mentioned is just how much of an inconvenience it is to have the truck die on the road and not getting to where the work is. Do you have a backup vehicle to compensate for such occurrences?

It sounds like you do not do your own maintenance.

I drive my vehicles into the ground.

What tires are you going to run to 90K? Michelins? I agree with @Phlogiston , you should keep it or sell it, or keep it?

Keep it and meanwhile make truck payments to your savings account. Then reassess in three years when the 4th Gen refresh comes and they’ve worked the bugs out.

Only a dumass wouldn't keep it. It owes you nothing. AND it's paid for!
    You want another car payment?

Are 30k miles business? I ask because the mileage reimbursement rate for 2025 is .70 which 21000 dollars tax free. And you pay for all your truck expenses. So if you’re not spending $1750 month in gas and repairs you're ahead of the game. So if this is the case have the company pay you for mileage.

Fix it and keep it. 135k is not alot on these trucks but in 4 years that kind of mileage on a turboed 4th gen might be.

Personally I would just sell the truck with all those miles …when you start spending more on repairing than a payment it’s time to let it go .

But that never really happens. While there might be months where repairs exceed a typical payment, it’s never the norm.

I’m telling you OP if all those miles are business. You’re leaving money on the table with the reimbursement set up. 6k car allowance. Roughly 6k for gas. Total 12k and you have to pay for repairs. If they reimburse your for mileage you’ll get 21k tax free.

The A/C evaporator box leak is a known issue around those years. The plastic weld seams weren't done correctly. Dealer solution was to apply sealant on the seams. Should not be expensive and can be DIY'd.

Supposedly some 3rd gens were shipped with transmission fluid low from the factory. Try a drain & fill to the proper level and see. Shop around if the TC does need to be replaced.

All the other maintenance items will be needed on a new truck in due time as well.

I'd keep it because it's paid for unless you want to get another vehicle and do not mind added expenses associated with the purchase. Just the interest on a new truck could cost you $3K a year, given today's rates and there will be downpayment, fees, taxes, etc upfront.
Also, if you were to get rid of it, you won't get much money for it unless you fix it first...
Lease sounds great except you will be stuck with it and end up with no car and no money back when returning, basically interest only loan...
If you want something new and different and do not mind spending extra $, then I'd still fix it to get the most $$$$ for it and get something else.

And paid for truck is easy to sell/get rid of. The one with the loan and/or lease is the whole different story.
