I installed new BFG 285/50/R20 on my 3rd Gen Sport a while back and noticed immediately a sluggish feel to them and a decrease in MPG. I discovered the Hypertech Speedometer calibrator (model: 730123) while viewing the forums one day and was curious if it would assist in getting better MPG and shift changes. I did a comparison of the old and new tires on the tire calculator https://www.tacomaworld.com/tirecalc?tires=245-75r16-285-50r20 and noticed they are roughly the overall same in height; however, the width adds an extra 1.6 inches. I was curious if the extra tread hitting pavement is causing the sluggish feeling and if the calibrator would assist on fixing it? Been a member for a little while, first post though. upload_2017-2-25_11-6-34.jpgupload_2017-2-25_11-7-4.jpgupload_2017-2-25_11-10-4.jpg

I only see a 285/55r20 available in a KO2, which would be almost 2" taller than factory.

How have you been calculating your gas mileage.

I believe the Hyper-tech was only a speedometer re-calibrator, and not a tuner, and they were also discontinued. I think a vendor on here bought up all the remaining ones, so you probably can still get one.
