Recently bought a new Tacoma and ordered the TRD Pro grille and black tailgate insert.

I've tried ordering the black emblem overlays through a few dealerships now and they've all told me that Toyota has a stop sell on them.

    So...

Anyone on here have a set they'd be willing to sell? Or any good references of somewhere else to buy them?

I've heard mixed reviews of the plasti dip, so I'd rather just buy OEM ones.

The most legitimate way is to order direct from the dealerships. Doesn't matter which one. That link will guide you, but I guess that should have been obvious.

I call BS. Just bought some two weeks ago. They were back ordered. Google it and you will find tons of OEM parts available online. Even online dealerships selling them. Expect about $120-$150 for them.

I've plasti dipped mine and they have been solid. Taken through car washes, rain, snow dust storms, AZ summers, no problem.

That's what I was thinking, too. I live in California so maybe it's a regional thing?

They told me that Toyota won't let them directly order them emblems right now, they can only get them at the port if they are installed on the Tacoma when they pick it up.

Peel them all off carefully with a heat gun.

    The stupid bedside stickers too.

Oh, so you just ordered black badges to replace your chrome ones? Let me know how these workout.

I would be willing to go this route if I can't find the overlays soon.

Possible. Or the dealership knows they are backordered and doesn’t want to deal with customers being impatient. Use that google link and go with any of the dealerships or actual Toyota parts that comes up.

Lots have done dip but I’m not personally a fan of it. It looks great on most, just a personal preference.

That’s just my personal preference. I bought the SR grill surround too. Some have never had a chip in years of use, others have. I would rather do it once and never worry about a cosmetic fix. Again, just my preference.
