I just blacked mine out and it's pretty easy! Krylon fusion bonds to plastic pretty good! I love the grill inserts on the 2011!

And I eventually wanna get a grillecraft so I know the older style grilles are easier to cut than the honeycomb.

From the right place they are. I got one about a week ago. Its not "OEM" but its exactly the same. Even the injection spots... I bought it to cut it up for a satoshi. Spent more on paint then anything else.

Not sure how the 2012s attach. These have two clips on the bottom and two screws on top. And two push rivets I think. But 2012s have a completely different grille. I'm guessing no. But you might be able to find a 2012 grille on that website.

Yeah i was thinking about having a body shop paint that and my chrome bumper. That would be a good idea DOUBLE D. Then you keep it with what it came with u know.

If you are talking about the entire grille being easy to get out then yes, it is very simple to remove. The inner grille however, the honeycomb part, is what makes up most of the grille and is held to the outer surround, the part that is either painted or Chrome, by about twenty ish melt tabs. So separating the two while not difficult, takes a bit more time. you would then have to do the same to your existing grille in order to use your current surround on the inner grille. Which you would have to re melt together.
