I've got a 3rd gen TRD 4x4 Sport with a 3" lift. I want to do a body lift now to give me a couple more inches. Anyone have any experiences with any certain kind?20180505_183938.jpg

My experience with body lifts tells me that anything over an inch ends up being a tremendous pain in the ass because nothing is the right length. Even an inch can be too much for some vehicles. It's not just the steering shaft, sometimes there isn't enough slack in the wiring harnesses. Plus bumper relocates are annoying.

Toytec makes a 1 inch and that's probably as much as you want to try to do.

Thanks for the feedback brother. Exactly the kind of information I'm looking for.

I should note I've never body-lifted a Tacoma, so I don't have any specific info on that. But the fact that you can't easily find anything more than an inch tells me that it's probably a huge hassle.

Helped a guy do a 3" on a Chevy once and we had to splice a lot of wires.

IMO its not worth it it doesn't give you useful ground clearance anyway taller tires are something you should look at more.

Yeah I've got a 3 inch suspension lift on now with 305/50/20 and I just wanted another inch of clearance for the tires. When on the trail and turning I get some slight rubbing

Never ran one on a Taco but I do have a 1" for my Jeep. That said I would never run one unless I had to. In my Jeep's case I needed to do a 1" body lift because I also did a 1" motor mount lift to raise the driveline to perform what Jeep's call a Tummy Tuck which raises the transmissions and transfer-case above the frame. Just like our tacos the transfer case hangs lower than the frame. I wouldn't go over an 1"

one inch max. When I bought my truck it had a three inch performance accessories body lift installed - first thing I did when I brought it home was have it removed.
