Are you lifted? I’m hoping an alignment adjustment will fix it, but it’s a pretty substantial rub.

They look sweet. I was planning on going with 275/70/17 and hoping to get away with not cutting but that may not be the case. And hope to get as close to 3" as possible with new fox C/O

Nope, stock TRD OR suspension. This is my first time with aftermarket wheels and non-stock-sized tires. So I have no benchmark for what a lot of rub would be. But I can drive around generally without the rub. It's only when parking or during the tightest of turns that the rubbing occurs.

Just removed the front mudflaps and trimmed the backside of the fenders a tiny bit. That seems to have removed about 80% of the rubbing. Now, I only rub against the front side of the fender under like 75% lock on very particular bumps.

I'm pretty happy with that, so I'm just gonna leave it be. I plan on getting a hybrid bumper at some point, so I'm not too invested in trimming the front fender. Plus, there's a screw right there that holds the front bumper body panel in place.

I did some light trimming and heat molding, and got rid of almost all the rubbing. I was kind of pressed for time, or I'm sure I could have gotten rid of it completely. Heat gun helped more than anything, and I'm going to finish off the job tomorrow, but even as of right now I can only get it to rub if I'm accelerating up hill in reverse and crank the wheels hard to the right, so I'm pretty content.

What lug nuts did you end up using to mount them? Extended length 12 x 1.5 acorn seats or just a standard acorn? Trying to decide between gorilla and what they have on venomrex

Not a whole lot of grab on the standard length acorn. 5 threads. You get an additional three full revolutions with the XL's

I bought the Venomrex's. They're now sitting on a shelf in the garage..

Stock off-road with 265/70/17 K02’s. Like the rest of you I have some rubbing which I attribute to the offsets and wider rim. It’s a very small amount of rubbing (by only a 1/4”) that you could live with, but it surprised and irritated me because I specifically did not go 275/285’s because I did not want to lift right away. Oh well it just pushes my timeline to put in 5100’s immediately. By the looks of it nothing an 1.5” of level won’t completely cure.

(Oh and almost forgot to add the most important part: these were not my 1st choice of wheel and I did want a quality higher end wheel but they turned out even better in person than I anticipated would recommend them to anyone)

im on stock suspension on a 4 cylinder 4x2 19' sr5. i want these wheels badly, but the rubbing issues have me worried. what modifications would i need to do to to avoid rubbing without having to cut or modify any of the original body? thanks

Somebody with more experience lifting would need to chime in on this. I have these with 265/70r17s, and I'm guessing a 1.5 inch would have cleared me of any rub issues. Have no intention of adding a lift soon, so that's just a guess for now. Hope that helps!

There'll be more photos, but here's one for now! Love the wheel and tire setup. Expect to see much more of this truck :)

Thanks again to Airborne22 for hooking up the discount!

Got mine in yesterday thanks to Airborne22. Looks like they were well taken care of during shipping. Only opened one box though until I order some tires. No one up here carries the ridge grapplers that I want so those will be special order. Hoping the bronze doesnt look wrong when they get mounted against the MGM paint.

If you went with 265/65/17 with no lift on these I doubt you will rub. I was going to measure the offset/backspacing when I get a chance because I dont fully believe they are -12 and I'm leaning towards +12 5.5" backspacing. But stock currently im on 265/65/17. Slimmer wheel however. I dont plan on putting them on until all of my lift parts come in, so I wont be able to help all that much.

Whooo!!! Good choice on the bronze. Was kinda hesitant about going with bronze myself, but they ended up looking so good once mounted.

    A few....
Not sure I'm understanding this. It seems more than one person involved in this thread has used the lugs you say won't fit. The product description on Amazon states
    • Narrow lug nuts and key fit in virtually all aftermarket wheels
Are you sure you have the correct Gorilla lugs? If so, what are you planning to do??

The lug nuts fit just fin inside but they don't seat correctly. After measuring I'm not sure how anyone is running the extended threads with them seating properly. They will bolt on but the conical seats wont line up. Only option is to get the standard length lug nuts. And a 21mm standard socket fits inside these so since there is so much room I may end up going with a 19mm standard hex lug nut. I've uploaded pics for reference. Pretty much the edge of the lug nut rides on the edge of the seat on the wheel upload_2019-4-13_14-55-12.jpgupload_2019-4-13_14-55-26.jpg
