I installed Bilstein 6112/5160 with an Icon 1.5 progressive AAL. When I purchased the AAL, I assumed I was able to retain my overload spring and get that extra .5 inches of lift. Later I found out that the overload spring was not compatible with the Icon AAL and had to be left out. Now, I'm left with a truck thats completely level and I'm looking for a little bit of a rake. What options do I have here?

I initially didn't want to use spacers of any kind, but I found some 1/2" flat shims from Headstrong. Has anyone used these or have any thoughts on them? In the worst case, I'm open to eating the costs and getting a different leaf pack that's going to give me what I want. All input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I don’t know what icon AAL you got but I have an icon AAL and it is 100% compatible with keeping the overload in for a 2” vs 1.5” lift. I kept my overload in case I ever wanted to put it back in.

I put on the headstrong 3leaf and they recommend not to leave the overload in but to take it out. Instead, to get the full 2” they offer those 1/2” spacers to essentially replace the height lost by removing the overload.

I have those 1/2” spacers but I used it for a different reason actually only 1 (on the driver side) to help compensate for/minimize the 3/4-7/8” difference from driver to passenger

I've got the same Icon AAL w/ overload left in. I installed it myself without issue
