So I finally got the 6112’s installed up front with the new UCA’s . I’ve the coil overs set at the 5th ring for what is supposed to be 2.5” but after the install, it’s more like 4.5”.. will this settle after I get the alignment and finish the RXT leaf pack install in the back? Those are my stock 18” wheels and it seems really high

Are those the standard 600lb springs? Maybe its just the smaller tires that make it look goofy. Either way, if those pics are right after getting it off the jack stands, it should settle.

Looks like the spring perch is on upside down. Could you post some up close pics of it?

    Same crap everyone else got
Without knowing if anything is installed incorrectly, have you moved the vehicle yet? When you back it up the suspension will lose some height compared to when you just install and drop it back to the ground. Probably not 2 inches worth of height but it will be some.

x3 on getting the suspension cycled a bit by moving it. You'll likely lose 2 inches of height or so.

The 6112 perch is different than the 5100, it actually looks right for the 6112.

RXT is like 2.75” option 3 or 2.25” option 2

pretty sure they say never to set 6112 on clip 5

I put mine on clip 4 and may need to lower it when I switch my RXT from 3 to 2

lower means better ride, better downtravel, less bottoming out, better alignment angles including camber, and better CV angle

Did you torque the coil over lower mounting bolts and LCA bolts with tires and and vehicle on the ground? The coil over hardware and LCA hardware need to be left loose until vehicle is on the ground with full vehicle weight on the suspension. I also suggest rolling the truck forward and backward a bit to settle the tires before torqueing the hardware.

UPDATE: after getting everything installed I took it off the jack stands and drove around the hood. Ride hight seemed to settle in. Going for my alignment today and then will take the “after installation” height measurements and will post them

    pinstripes. lots of pinstripes.
Same exact thing happened to me. At setting 4 it was sky-high but settling and alignment brought it down. Still seems a little high compared to what Bilstein stated but sitting roughly level with AllPro standard springs in the back here.

At the alignment shop now. After reading more some people saw a drop in the ride height after an alignment… I’ll post measurements afterwards

Update: having learned a LOT from this experience it was well worth doing it myself. Once I took the truck off the jack stands and got the alignment, the hight was exactly as I had expected. Thank you all for the great help. I’ve put about 3,000 miles on the new lift and jut freak’n love it!!!
