Cleaner how? I've been thinking about the A-pillar pod, do the color match well, fitment?

I passed an opportunity to get the flexpod for under $90 shipped the other day :(

Yeah it was an auction I found by luck, the guy had forgotten to put Tacoma on the title so you could not find it if you were searching for tacoma parts, only one person bid at the last second (in which I was considering to bid or not and didn't) and it went for $75 + 8 for shipping and it was brand new.

remove the two little screw covers on the pillar handle > remove the screws > remove the handle > pull out the a-pillar.

Install the new A-Pillar in reverse order. From what I've read the handle requires a bit of modification to get it to fit perfect on the new a-pillar

I'm wondering how well the color matches too...

I bought some from Lotek for a 2001 Taco I use to own. I believe they make them for 05's too. Easy install. Used factory mounting to install them if I'm remembering correctly. The color gray and the texture was an exact match. www.gaugepods.com

The colors match fine, the fitment takes some work. The factory handle has to be shaved to get it to lay down flat and not leave a gap.

I also thought the lotek pod was in my view to much. The flexpod is solid aluminum and holds the gauges at a great viewing angle.

I was happy with my lotek when I had it, but now that I have the flexpod, it is an improvement, and looks more OEM

    here is my flex pod

That is what I was thinking I was driving the truck today and thought exactly that (gauges on the A-Pillar would obstruct a bit my view)

I only have one gauge I'm considering making a mount to put it in the little triangle above the door panel behind the side view mirror, I saw an X-Runner once that had it like that. I currently have it were the 4x4 switch goes, but I want to put it someplace more easier to read.
