So, I checked my codes. The door tag says A04B / A750F

Code indicates that it is an E-Locker. The cheapo Carquest gear oil I use has the modifier in it, whether or not I need it.

I have a Locker. I used the type with the additive. Mostly because that’s what we had here already. I’ve had no problems, yet.

Hey, thanks. You were great with the info I was looking for. From what I'm reading, E-locker was the greatest thing at the time the truck was assembled.

Yes, it can certainly help with added traction when needed. I can’t say I’ve ever needed to use mine. And I’d prefer not to be in a situation where I needed it.

My truck has an open differential at time. UNLESS I’m locked. Luckily, your 09’ had the ability to simulate LSD. Where as I have nothing. Once one rear wheel spins, it keeps spinning.
