If you like it go for it. Keep the stock one for resale though. I’d buy it just to trigger all the crybabies on tw

IMHO.....it looks out of place on the truck.

But, if it pulls your fancy, then by all means mount it.

    My opinion shouldn't matter, buuuuttttt
I'd fully expect a brah with white frame Oakley's and a Monster hat with the turned up bill, to hop out at the local Hooter's lot.
Brah has a place in this world too though, I ain't no one special either.

Thank you... although I think I pretty much threw the crumple zone effect away with the bumper addition. I prefer to be in denial and not put my truck and 'collision' in the same sentence :)

do you understand addition and subtraction though? the actual reason to put on lighter parts is to offset the heavier parts. you can add 800lbs to your truck, or you can add 800lbs and subtract, let's say 30, for a net gain of 770lbs which, by my math, is indeed less than 800

Personally I like it. but if I was gonna put it on my truck, it would be sorta built around it if you know what I mean.

IE, would go along with supercharger, long travel, and other "race truck" mods to stay topical and appropriate. I prob wouldn't install it on a truck with full armor all over, steel front and rear bumpers, rooftop tent, and other camping/overlanding mods. just seems inconsistent.

Too many mods and I haven't even started yet..
Don't make your decision based on what other people think. It's your truck.

That said.. Seibon doesn't have the greatest track record for fitment. Additionally, if you leave it bare carbon the sun will fade and discolor it. You can reduce this by clear-coating it, but that's an additional expense. Or you can paint it fully to eliminate the discoloration, but that kind of defeats half the point of a carbon hood.

Up until this point I haven't asked anyone their opinions on all the mods I've done to my ride. Its just with this one I had an uneasiness about it and wanted to see if others felt the same way. A lot of the posts are confirming what I was thinking.

I think it looks cool if your truck has a lot of other aftermarket stuff on it. It would look a bit odd by itself.
