I like it because it's different. You don't see too many people with aftermarket hoods. I think it would look bad ass on your truck.

If you have a supercharger/turbo setup to go with it, I think it would look badass.

I like all their products. They seem the only company right now making badass body pieces. McNeil and the others are Ight but have done nothing different since the 2nd gen. IMO their 3rd gen fenders are a downgrade from the 2nd gen fenders. but this company has been doing things their own way and I will 100% be buying their fenders and probably one of their hoods.

Having a white tacoma, the sun is always glaring off the hood into my eyes. I feel like this would be worse with all that shiney carbon fiber.

Damn my brother from another mother lol. Factor 55 FTW! Looks like you definitely take yours off road. Care to let us know how the hood has held up? Appears the fitment is good. Did you consider hood pins?

I installed the hood about a week ago and haven’t went wheeling with it yet. I’ll report back later once I put some off-road miles on it. The hood looks like it’s built well. It’s fiberglass bottom and carbon fiber on top. The fiberglass is decently thick by the mounting holes and hood latch hook. Fitment is good, but not perfect which is expected. I installed quik-latch ql38 hood pins. I drove around without hood pins for a few days and it seemed fine, but installed the hood pins just in case.

It does? Is it the winch hook and shackles installed on a garaged truck or the perfectly clean, scratch free bumper and paint that make it look like it definitely gets taken off-road?

Ricer, but if you are going go full ricer.... go with the vents, otherwise just wrap your current hood black

I think it’s a bit much unless you’re truck is considerably modified... it’s just one of those things I’d think looks out of place on a Tacoma with 33s and 5100. But if you like it go for it!

Whats with the whole "Ricer" typcast? If that was even remotely a concern regarding Tacoma mods, steer clear of imports or crowds that will label you as such.

I saw a Taco with a carbon hood, fiberglass fenders & bedsides, and Long travel, while vacationing near a Cali beach. Not my style but respect dudes taste. Badass.

Like others have said-its your ride. Your dough. Do what makes you happy. Life has enough problems without worrying about whether or not everyone will approve.

I've got a brand new looking winch hook on mine and my bumper and paint is immaculate. I take mine off road all the time. There is a new invention called a bucket which holds soapy water and a sponge. Magically erases any dirt. Check it out.

Having said all that, don't look at my skid plate b/c its beat to hell.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
Seibon makes good shit and I've fitted a few of their pieces for friends. They all have the same thing in common though, they flex more than stock and eventually the gelcoat turns a sickly hazy yellow and you need to have it refinished. I'd say fine for a street truck and if you painted it (real shame on nice carbon) it would be fine... But at that point fiberglass is a better deal.

I personally feel it’s too aggressive. Without the hood vent, it looks better as a CF hood.

My answer is similar to carrying extra magazines for your CCW pistol: people are going to throw you under the bus for running a CF hood anyway, might as well go full send with the louvers and vents

I'm running a Duraflex fiberglass hood with the louvers. The louvers aren't that noticeable once you get mud on it:

    RWe3s28rjbHqyhHPmA8tZXWAMLOnSZlHgQp7-jBD_534b59f19756761818d87d549b51e5b76965084d.jpg

My truck weighs 4700 lb with armor and half a tank of gas, which is among the lighter ones. Gotta save weight where you can - 20 lb on the hood, 20 lb on the battery, 20 lb on five wheels, 60 lb on the aluminum bumper vs. steel...
