    A Mexican tranny eh?

How many pids can be up at once? Just 4? It looks like the UG is quite a bit cheaper too. Hmmmm. I might have to snag one. You remember where u got yours?

Yes, UltraGauge MX will read 3rd gen trans temps. The codes are in the thread below. They are also listed on the UltraGauge website in the MX addendum material.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/ultragauge-trans-temp-codes-for-3rd-gen.526017/

I don't use mine all the time, so I put it on the left side of the windshield. It provides a lot of information, easy to customize, and you can change how many different readings and which readings show on a screen.

Thanks for the beta! I just ordered one. So I'll have to do some research. It'd be nice to have 6 like my obd fusion.

@Skydvrr Here is a screen shot from the owners manual. You have a number of options when setting up the gauges you want to see on each page. Seven different pages with 4, 6, or 8 gauges on each page.

I don't think you can rename the preloaded gauges, but I did have to name the trans gauges when I put them in the MX section of the menu.

Like a dmm alternative? Or a UG specific mount?

Yes, it is a dashtop RAM mount but more refined. Mine is thicker, stronger, longer, with 5x RAM mounting holes which are threaded and better strategically placed. Also, the installation is less complex and takes less time to install because you only need to drill 5x holes for mounting. It will be painted flat black and I provide 4x plastic plugs for the unused RAM mount holes.

Those of you who have been using ultragauges for a bit in third gens, do you have any battery drain issues? Unplugging when not driving for a few days? If you unplug does it ‘remember’ all your settings/layout?

I’d kind of prefer a stand-alone ultragauge for tracking primarily transmission temps towing, as I’d rather not have to have gauges up on my phone. If mounted I’d probably just leave it out for day to day driving too, but if it’s a hassle with the battery (I occasionally only drive a couple times a week) then I may be pushed the Bluetooth/phone route.
