    De-Badged. Headrests adjusted, Redline Tuning Hood Struts, Secondary Air Filter removed, BTLM
    Installed! Very simple to do and did not take too long at all. The only modification you need to make to the instructions for the 2013 hood is the location of the supplied brackets. I added a short write-up to my modest build thread (in the sig below).

    They work GREAT! The hood rises silently, hands-free as soon as you release the catch. Now I just need to get some light under there...

    You probably could but it would have to be a short screw. I wouldn't do it. Using the rivet is easy

    I was thinking of doing the same thing before installing mines. but when you think about it the struts needs to sit flush when in the close position. having bolts or screws there will just get in the way of having it flush.

    what I did was go to Home Depot buy the cheapest rivet gun they have. make sure you don't cut open the package the rivet gun is in. the package was only held by one staple. used the gun and pretty much packaged it back up, and returned it to HD. bam you get your money back.
