I had already bought mine when this started, but I installed mine last night. I have a 2012 and there are a couple of tips I have for everyone when they instal the bottom brackets.

Im not sure that 2011 models and earlier will be like this.

In the first picture, you are seeing the passenger side. I am pointing to a hump that makes it difficult to install the bracket flat. You will have to remove the electrical block on the passenger side to do this, but i believe overall its worth it. On the drivers side there is nothing in the way of doing this. I just put some tape over the humps and lightly tapped them flat.

Of course, you can probably get them on without doing this, but I just didn't like that they wouldn't be flat against the truck surface.

Question for you and others that put them in a '12. The instructions that came with mine said to put the hood bracket 16" from the hood hinge. 16" would put the forward most hole of the bracket right in the dimple of the hood (where it's supposed to crush?) Your pictures look like you straddled that dimple. Is your bracket 16" from the hood hinge? If you adjusted it, did you then have to adjust the lower bracket too?

I want to make sure I have this all sorted out before I go drilling holes in my hood.

*Edit: The upper (hood) brackets were stuck in the bottom of the mailing tube and I didn't realize they were different than the lower (fender) brackets. The correct brackets straddle the crush zone as others have posted about on the '13s. Also the picture BORNWILDGUY posted shows them straddling the crush zone on his '12. I don't know if this points to the 12s and 13s being the same after all or if there is a problem with straddling the crush zone with the bracket.

*Edit: Installed straddling, struts work fine at any rate.

I got mine today and installed them.... friggin' awesome! Except for the tailgate strut.

For the '12 & '13 Taco owners, you will notice the color instruction sheet will show the hood bracket's bottom edge 16" from the hinge edge appears to put the strut bracket in a different location to the hood's stamped in dimple valley. Do follow the instructions of 16" (hood) and 8.25" (fender bracket) regardless of what you see in the instructions

The new hoods (underside) of the '12 and up are different.

BTW, if you thinking of buying the tailgate strut, save your money. The thick cable doesn't bend enough and interferes with the strut/tail light lense. I'm going to make a cable stop that is more flexible for the driver's side..... someday.

Tip, it can be very easy to blow through the top of your hood while drilling the upper brackets... drill it slowly with little pressure.

Just installed a set of the plus tubes on my 2003. Took me 45 minutes tops, never used a riveter before. Went smooth as silk, they work great!

Install took about 35-40 minutes. I didn't run into any issues except some silver caulking that was where the fender bracket attached, but that shaved off with a razor, turned out nice. Thanks again OP!

Just sent payment for the quick lift plus ! Can't wait to get it installed, it's a pain using the hood prop with the 6" lift without a step stool.:D thanks for the effort organizing this! Also for the installation tips on the 2012-2013 front end:cool:

Little confused, the drop down says the gb price, but the PayPal receipt prior to paying says the full price. Does this mean after pm-ing the op we will only be charged the gb price?
