Been doing tons of research. I am an avid fisherman and want to get a spiffy looking roof rack that is also effective. I have narrowed it down to some options.
So to start off I like the look of OEM factory roof rack and then the bed racks as well. I have looked into getting a basket to also work as a roof rack. So to start as I said:
OEM roof rack (cheap, effective, seems like a good option) (250~)
Baja rack: really like the basket rack idea (thinking a light bar later and it could look good on it) however it is expensive (650~)
All pro tacoma bed rack: good and cheap (350~) really like the look at it, however I think if I were to get the bed rack I would need to get a basket rack for top. As well goes the other way around, if I get a basket I want the bed, I like the way they look together. HOWEVER my issue with pulling the trigger on this one is that I have a tool box in my bed and I don't know if that will interfere with the installation or not (help??)
Ok and then the option I really like is the road armor body rack for the tacoma. It is nice and cheap but I have some questions for it. First off it looks good but it says something about having to buy both the basket and body? Kinda confused about that so it might be a little too pricy. Once again then I'm not sure I could install it because of my tool box so if y'all could shine any advice on that that would be great. To also go with installing it it says it uses the OEM bed rack system but I don't have those, I have bed cleats however, would those serve the same purpose or would I need to get the OEM stuff?
Sorry for all the questions! Basically all in all looking for a good looking roof rack that will be used to put a kayak on, also considering a basket/bed rack combo; have worried of installation because of a tool box in bed; wishing to spend as least money as possible but I understand how it goes so it's ok if runs up a little.
First post, sorry if it's too much! Thanks!!

If you have a pick up truck just throw it in the bed. That's what I do.

I just finished up the design on this guy. I will post pictures of it installed next week. Also, if anyone is interested I am willing to do a group by if I can get 5 people.
