    Hey everyone!

I'm looking to spend around $1000 on a 3 or 4 inch lift kit for my 2005 Tacoma. It's a base model with an access cab.

I recently got new wheels because mine were on their way out, and the new ones have some rubbing. If anyone has any suggestions or options that would be much appreciated!

Best thing to do is use the search page and select 2nd gen only to search. Tons of answers for any question you have on these trucks. Way faster and ya dont deal with asses and bad advice.

What size wheels/tires did you get? You might not need 3-4” of lift. Bilstein 5100 shocks and a add a leaf kit in the rear is a decent budget option if you only need 2-2.5” of lift max. And you’ll be way under the $1000 budget with that set up too.

You didn't state if you have a 5 or 6 lug Tacoma but if yours is a 5 lug tacoma, 3" lift for $1000 is not gonna happen.

You may need more than a lift depending on your rubbing and tire size. What tire size did you put on and are you on stock wheels? More info and pics will help

If you have a 6 lug 2wd/Prerunner you should look into maxtrac spindles

    Welcome aboard mate

I'm taking off OME 886 w/ Nitros, gave 2.5 inches of lift on my Access Cab - $150 pick them up no shipping. Prolly about 40k on them, no leaks & mostly street. Good way to try out this suspension - if you are 4 wheel drive.
