Keep going, because I do not see your need in a new camera... I just double looked at your stuff again, and it's not like your camera is holding you back. Play with lighting. Play with techniques and styles.

The reason I ask is because I have known plenty of people starting to use cameras (I do film and photography). Within a year, they want to spend 3-5 times the amount of money for a better unit, before they have even mastered the basics or their starter camera in general.

Don't think I am telling you what to do :D But as a fellow advice. It's your money after all.

When do you actually need a super fast shutter speed? It's too hard to use
A super fast one because then you have a thin DOF and a
Well focused subject is seldom the result. If your camera
Works fine, keep it. Get a grip for your bigger hands. That's what I did with mine.

Rememer the higher FPS is never gonna be as high as it claims. Your shutter may be able to move at 7FPS, but the body still has to write the image to the card, and thus your shots are usually limited to your writing speed. If you shoot in RAW, which you probably do for Photoshop, the files are large and writing is much l
    Slower than the others.

    thanks.
    thats viet not JDM :p
    three things.

39 point AF better than d60's measly 3 point system.
    6.1fps. this is huge.
my camera has been giving me strife anyways. I still see a difference in photos with my d60 and the same photo with a d200.

and the last reason. is. ive been wanting to upgrade for quite sometime now. this is the perfect body for me to do so. and its not like im having my parents run out and get it. :p

canon > nikon...nikon > canon...the eternal debate. with technologies between both companies coming so close, it all just becomes a matter of shooter's preference in the end. i think what matters most is the eye and skill of the photographer...a talented photographer can capture just as good of a shot with a Rebel Xsi (Canon entry level) as a rookie shooter with a 5DMkii (Canon Pro Level)...if not better.

You have to admit there is advantages upgrading to the D7000 from the D60
I mean if he a had the D80 or D90 then i would say stick with what you got. But the D60 just a slight step up from the D40. Don't get me wrong I shot some great images with my D60 but the user friendliness of the higher end DSLR's is worth upgrading not to mention the size.
