Has anyone been able to find/3D print/have an old shifter knob laying around anywhere? I'm trying to put together a custom shifter knob for an automatic but I need a way to attach the leatherette shift boot to it. So I either need an OEM shifter knob that I could cut down to fit inside of what I'm trying to put on OR to find the part that connects the female end of the clip that is on the boot to the knob. I've tried searching and couldn't find anything. Figured if anyone knew where to find one or made one, I'd find them here.

I have it modeled, and a friend of mine printed it the other day. I still do not have it in hand, though ... and will need to send it out for test fit (because I own MT). It still needs proving, but I believe I am the first to try to tackle this project.

Once it is proven out, I will share the file in some capacity. I'll have to work that out with @mesojdm in private, though.

Out-freakin-standing! I'm working on a new build. Going for this whole "urban assault vehicle" look. I got an old computer joystick that looks like a flight stick. But I was stuck on how to mount it with the boot.

Be sure to stay tuned. We recently got over a foot of snow, so I was unable to pick it up from my bud Chris on the way home from work the other day. Then, he somehow ended up in Grand Rapids, Michigan last night, so who knows when I will get it. Probably next week sometime. Then, I will be able to measure/compare it and send it to @Chief Taco for a test fit (he sent me his knob for development, only seems logical to send him the first one).

If it clicks on properly, I will be happy ... but my guess is that it will break when he tries to pull it back off due to the brittle PLA material this prototype was printed from. At that point, I send my file to @mesojdm for the final print ... and hopefully production begins shortly after that.
