    Hey guys

Ok I have the tow package which included the factory hitch. I dont tow anything and never plan to and would like to remove the hitch all together.

The only problem is that the hitch is what holds the bumper to the frame. So what I need is the frame extenders or whatever they are called that attach the bumper to the frame without a hitch.

Anyone know what Im talking about?

I dont want to sell or trade the hitch. Just gonna keep it in the garage just in case I ever do need it.

Seems like a lot of work to do for not much positive benefit over just not using the hitch. Are you just trying to gain a few thousandths of a mpg?

The hitch and rear bumper are entirely separate entities...

I swapped my chromie for Cliff's BSP.... I had the tow package too and I really don't remember seeing any way the bumper was connected to the factory hitch.

The hitch weighs a considerable amount, I race my truck and dont need the extra weight. It takes less than 10 minutes to take it off. but I rather not take it off every time.

Anyone have a # for me?

I may just have to go visit the stealership and see how much they want for it

It's connected. You cant have the bumper on the truck without either the hitch or the bracket Im looking for

The bracket weighs a few lbs where as the hitch is a heavy motha trucka :p probably 80 lbs
