Hi everyone, thanks for reading. New here but have been using tacoma world for quite some time now and have found a lot of useful and amazing information! :)

    Taco: 08 TRD offroad

Mods: leveling kit, 2.5" in front, 1" in back with diff drop and sway bar relocation. Intake. Gibson exhaust.

I just recently got a set of vision valor rims and tires and have been unable to install due to needing aftermarket lugs and swapping out tpms sensors. Should be getting it all taken care of tomorrow or the next day. Wanting to get a better idea of what its gonna look like and what everyone thinks of the specs. So if you have something similar, please post pics. Im looking for a little bit of a wider stance look and am wondering if im going to need spacers down the road. Would like to avoid that route depending on how they look once i get them on as i have heard a lot of negative things about the spacers. But i got a screamin deal on this set and could not pass it up.

    Wheel specs
    Size: 17x8.5
    Backspacing: 5.47
    Offset: 19

Tire specs: 265/70/17 wrangler AT with about 50% ish tread.

(will eventually be upgrading those tires so please feel free to chime in also on possible tire sizes given my mods. Definitely wanting a mud tire.)

Thanks again for reading and let me know what ya think. :)20160115_091740.jpg20160117_081950.jpg 20160115_091740.jpg

You won't need wheel spacers. That size fits stock.

I would only want the spacers for the wider stance look. I was positive they would fit. Just wanna know what that offset and backspacing will look like once on my truck. And how big of a tire i could get down the road with the mods i have in place.

Stacked spacer lift, 22x12 wheels with stretched 33's, tow mirrors, bull nuts.
With those wheels due to the near stock backspacing you'll be limited to a 265/70/17 without spacers.

Thanks for the info! Really appreciate it. I was thinking they were super close to stock. Im sure they're are already threads for this, so if I'm annoying you, i appoligze. Ive looked through quite a few threads, at least on rim specs, and have not found anyone running a rim too close to the ones i recently purchased. Im curious on what everyone's opinion is with a rim of these specs combined with spacers. What are some personal experiences people have had with spacers? Please list rim specs. And what are the pros and cons of spacers when we start talking about reliability and common problems? And what recommendations does everyone have on spacer width for a rim with dimensions of 17x8.5 bs 5.47 and offset of 19mm? Thanks again for taking the time to read and reply! :)

Just wanted to update everyone with how it went so people can use this as a reference.

    Taco: 2008 TRD offroad

Mods: 2.5" front 1" rear leveling kit with diff drop and sway bar relocation.

    Tire size: 265/70/17

Rim size: 17"x8.5" bs 5.47 offset approx 19

Have slight rub on the mudflaps. Very minimal. Tires are only 40-50% tread.

Slightly wider stance than stock rims given the bs and offset.

Going to check local laws on mudflaps and either trim or remove them.

    Thanks for reading!
