Well I have a 2006 4.0 DCSB TRDOR 6sp. Truck has right at 90K miles. Transmission makes all kinds of racket at highway speed, grinds super bad 2nd to 3rd and jumps out of reverse when backing up.

I understand these are crappy transmissions. I would like to have it replaced or rebuilt but up in Flagstaff I don't have many options. Stealership is saying $4800 to replace and $3800 to rebuild. I am wondering if anyone knows of good places down in Phoenix that they could share that are affordable and reliable for taking care of these transmissions or is this about the going rate?

Just looking for some insight. Don't have many places to turn up here in Flagstaff.

    Thank you for your help.

Did you check w/ R&A Auto on Steves Blvd.?
They only work on Japanese vehicles and only use OEM parts. Highly recommend over Findlay.

I was told that R&A would not work on the transmission, they replace transmissions but they do not open them up. This was second hand info though so I might have to call them.
