Looking for someone to install my lca bushings on my first gen tacoma. Im in the bay area (by Concord in California) Can drive the truck anywhere in the bay need be, pm me if you are interested and how much you would charge. I already ordered polyurethane bushings so the install of those will be easy. Will be getting new sleeves, nuts and bolts as well. Thanks!

Lol! Thanks for the tag. Never done LCA bushings, think you need a press for these (maybe) which I do not have in my arsenal.

Try posting in the NorCal regional thread, you'll have better luck

I have access to a press at my brothers shop. If someone is willing to pull my lca out and I can get the bushings out it should be good from there.

Yeah not a fun job. Mine required torch, press, air chisel, and about 2 days of beating the piss out of them.

I would highly suggest just buying new LCAs with new bushings already installed. The journey you’re about to embark on is awfully frustrating.

Couldn’t agree with this more. I don’t regret much in life but I definitely regret not having arms ready to go before I started.

As mentioned, a bushing replace is not for the average driveway wrencher. I installed Energy Suspension UCA & LCA bushings as part of a complete frontend rebuild. I needed 2 HF bushing and balljoint adapter sets and my 12 ton press. And that barley got it done. Plus 2 days and way too much burning and cleaning and pressing. I would not doo it again and I'm a cranky OF.

    4 run, 2 don't
    Super easy.

You've got a Prerunner so not much in the way. Just use the bottle jack to press out the old ones. The new ones, if they're Whitelines, go in with a tiny bit of finesse.

    Did mine twice :anonymous:

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
    Holy Cow.

Seriously... I don't even know how you would even use a press for this.

I've done it a half dozen times now. Use the factory bottle jack and use a propane torch for some heat. The bushings, themselves, are easy.
