EAEA74B4-B098-499F-B3EE-148865491B62.jpg Long story short we were doing a creek crossing and couldn’t make it up the banks so ended having to go down stream instead of straight across. Had to chain saw some limbs while in the water so my helpers had to sit on the edge resulting in two dents. Any suggestions?

Dents in question are above the rear left seat and front
    Passenger seat.

I will look into that, thanks. I was about to look into removing the headliner and just pushing from the bottom before I decided to ask here .

Since they're low-impact high-mass dents, the sheet metal shouldn't be stretched. That means you might be able to push them out from underneath as you first mentioned. Worst case scenario, you'll push the majority of the dent out and you might have a small crease in the sheet metal if there were any "folds" around the dent. If that's the case you can judge for yourself if you can live with the remaining damage or seek out quotes for PDR. Best case scenario, you just saved yourself some cash and did it yourself. Whatever you do, don't hit the dent to pop it out from underneath, push it gently with your hands or even using a folded towel or something to spread the force out over a larger area. Most people don't know how to work sheetmetal and will actually create more damage from the hammer strikes (even dead blow hammers) and the end result looks like cellulite on the metal.

Here's a link to my headliner removal thread for some tips that may be helpful:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/removing-your-headliner-and-insulating-sound-deadening.394469/

As a secondary plan of attack you might also try the boiling water technique (look it up on youtube). Sheet metal has a memory and wants to return to it's original shape. The heat from the water relieves some of the stress from the dent and allows the dent to pop out on it's own. Science! Since you're in cold weather (snow in your pic) this might be an easier option although I've never done it in snow so can't tell you what to expect from the temp changes.

    Good luck.

I had some from friends sitting on roof...they popped right out from a swift palm push.

Paintless dent repair worked very effectively for my dented roof (long story). It was only a few hundred dollars to fix.

Painless dent removal an add a roofrack to detract from the residual effects.

Thanks everyone. Don’t like the roof rack plus I get into some small narrow/ low trails and creeks sometimes so Less on top. I guess I could have stood on the rack to cut the trees though... anyway I’m also not hoping for perfection- no one notices as is and I can always just lift it higher if they do. I will try one more time after or during s car wash to try and push it out through the headliner.
