My 2009 factory wheels on my TRD are peeling. The paint is literally pulling away from the aluminum. I live in the UP of Michigan which uses salt on the roads which I suspect may have caused this damage.

Upon researching wheels there are many to choose from in all different price ranges. Does anybody have experience in similar climates with wheels that hold up well to these conditions? Any links to websites or manufacturers would be appreciated.

My procomp 7089s have surprisingly held up very well. After washing them they look like the day that I bought them. I'm in pa, so we get the heavy salt use too. The procomps are cheaper, so I didn't know what to expect with the finish of the wheels.

Have you thought about having the factory wheels POWDER COATED...?

When applied properly, it has a much higher durability than most commercial-grade automotive paints.

After 2 harsh Alberta winters (not much salt, lots of sand & gravel), my Audi S4 factory wheels are holding up great !

Check out konig wheels, sold by FNwheels.com or call them and ask for Dustin. There are plenty of pics of trucks on here with the different wheels they sell. Or google it. I run the 18x9 BFD model. Sharp ass wheels and they are very light you won't be disappointed. Oh....I live just outside Chicago.
