2008 - 3" lift, 265/75/16 Duratracs 2011 - Leather seats. 6" DB rough country 33" Nitto Mud Graplers 10" x 20" XD Rockstars 4.5 back spacing. Roof rack Black out grill Black Bull Bar Projectors with Halo's
image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg Trying to run 33x12.5x20 mud grapplers. XD775 rims 20x10. I have a 3" lift in front and a 2 1/2" lift in back. I'm rubbing right on the bottom corners (both sides). It grabs so hard it sounds like it's ripping the fender off.
My question is, would a 1" body lift do it? (It's the easiest one to install... no issues with lift height).
I could go 2" or 3" body lift, but I'd have to get that installed at $908. I really don't want to trim a lot out of the fender wells. You can see in the pics the "clean" spots on the bottom of each fender is where it rubs. And yes it does clip the cab mount.
I've got the new wheels/tires just sitting in my shed.
Oh and also, what are the black and green "spacers" for that came with my rims?
U.C.A's clear better than my sons 265/75/16's. I got 4.5" backspacing.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Please don't do a body lift. I'd trim over a body lift any day. You may have to get a CMC (Cab Mount Chop) to keep it from rubbing.

If I do the 1" body and trim the fenders a little, I think it would look better than keeping it this level and just trimming. This was what I saw while it wasn't in motion. I can only imagine the damage going down the road.

A body lift isn't going to fix the cab mount though. Only cutting and welding will solve that and then you may as well just trim the fenders...Cheaper and better looking than a body lift.

Do the cab mount chop. I paid $95 for it and it took 2 hours. Worth it!

Just wondering, how will UCA's help? I've got twice as much clearance as my sons taco with a 3" lift and 265/75/16'. For me to be able to turn full tilt and hit a bump and not rub... That would be nice.

Does the cab mount chop give that much of a difference? Looks like what you cut out was filled in with the plates. Maybe it just needs a little.

Any fabrication shop can cut the plates and weld them for you. You will need to do this and some trimming of plastic in your wheel well. It's too easy..no more avoiding u-turns...do it!

Where did you get your plates from? What thickness are they?

You can also try adjusting your caster angle on the front driver and passenger. It will push the wheel a little bit more towards the front of the truck.

    My advice: run smaller tires.

Well, took care of that problem. No cutting or trimming. Plenty of clearance. Lifted enough to clear the tires, but not too much, to make it sit up too high.
Now, this weekend I can put the blacked out grille on it, and the black bull bar, and the blacked out Halo headlights and the OEM roof rack.
It should start to look "right" after the weekend.
Thanks to all who provided helpful info.

Well, drop bracket lift is one way to solve a problem.

I am very pleased with it. I just couldn't see spending $1,200+ for a 3" body lift, on top of a 3" suspension lift. I didn't have the "best" suspension lift. Total cost was $110.00. And it made a loud noise, as if I had extreme mud tires on it. But I had slicks. Now the only roar I hear is the tires telling me "hey, you have mud tires on now." And it actually rides better than when I had the other lift on it.
I wouldn't want to go back to the set up I had before. I'm thinking my sons going to want this set up when I go back home and he drives it.
What I really liked about it is the fact that I didn't have to trim or cut on anything at all. I ordered and have the plates for the cab mount chop.
One problem I'm going to have now is the fact that my mom won't be able to get in it anymore. Too high for her.

New drop spindles? As for the rings those are for different hub diameters to keep wheel perfectly centered.Only if need! Got a set with aftermarket rims for my wife's 2013.They are collecting dust on the shelf.Truck looks good.
