Looking for tailgate options.....

So as I said a week or so ago, I destroyed my tailgate. So I need to get something on there that looks halfway decent. Called Toyota and replacement is around $1300. Which means $500 out of my pocket. Are there any cool other options besides factory replacement? I mean there has to be something out there right? Not necessarily looking for a tailgate, but something that might serve the same purpose, or might look halfway decent.

stay away from e-bay tailgates, most of them are stolen, its been a well discussed topic on TW...

edit: that looks legit i think.... i mean stay away from used ones

 

my tailgate was stolen a year ago, I live in Mexico, dealership quoted me around $1400 USD, IIRC..... it included everything and painted.... sorry about your tailgate, I know how it sucks, and just a suggestion, stay away from e-bay tailgates, most of them are stolen, if the seller doesn't have a valid VIN, its probably stolen.... they are new tailgates. not painted stolen ones. they are a body shop supplier. you need the internal hardware and paint on them

 

or look into a tire gate as an option.
