And strong tuff I just added the tail gate lock accessory from Toyota works with your remote plugs into your existing brain for power locks only on the 19/20 tacos from what i here from Toyota service Dept.unless you can make it work your self on older 3rd Gen tacos.FYi

+1 on this. I went back and forth on Tonneau's for over a month. Wanted something relatively secure when the tailgate was locked and easy to uninstall so I could use the full bed if needed. This one fit the bill. I have a 2020 Army Green TRD Pro and its a perfect fit for my needs for color, size, etc...

It also does not interfere with the OEM bed rail system as I use the OEM bed divider daily.

EDIT... this is my first post. Great community here, been lurking for months and glad to have joined. PM'd a few members for assistance here and there and everyone has been very welcoming and helpful.

    Safe travels,
    GS

I have the factory one which is hard and tri-fold. It doesn't lock per-se, but you'd have a hard time opening it without opening the tailgate first.

I've also heard good things about Diamondback.

Another one to check out is https://www.peragon.com/?gclid=Cj0K...BBHmaTbTRfc0tdBZsGnTMCWGGVOf4jWIaAsCREALw_wcB

Most of the time I don't even have mine on, but I like having the option. I'm usually hauling things that wouldn't really be possible with the cover on.

The only one I've found is that it bolts on so you can only fold back the first 2/3rds of it and not the final 3rd without unbolting it, which just has you remove it. Then you need a place to store it.

Thats what I’ve read, that you can’t access the first third of your bed very easily. Some other brands do allow that. I think I’ve read where they all will leak some.

I'm sure they will, but I haven't had that happen yet with the factory one. But that being said, you have to make sure it is fully latched for that protection. The latches are like those on car doors in that there's latched, and then there's really latched. I plan to run mine in the winter more and I run it with my rooftop tent for security and protection from the elements for all my camping stuff.

Mine is the Weathertech - I don't see much difference either.

Also it doesn’t lock and you have to open your tailgate to open it. The factory one on Fords are the same. I had the tailgate lock on my Raptor Gail so I couldn’t open my tailgate, which also meant I couldn’t open my cover, which then meant until I could get it fixed nothing was coming out or going in. I wouldn’t use the OEM style if it was given to me for free.

Yeah, I mentioned that in my first post. Great for security, but bad for if your tailgate is broken. I have it off most of the time so it doesn't really matter to me anyway.

im going to wait to see how I end up using it before adding too much. I added a few options but had them remove the tonneau from my order the other day.

It works for all 3rd Gens although I don’t think it’s plug and play for the older ones
