looking for tonneau covers

Looking for a tonneau cover for a 5ft short bed.

 

Did the roller cover myself - you lose a good chunk of the bed but wouldn't go another route. Relatively easy install.

I put a retrax on mine. Rolling/retractable tonneau covers are definitely a great move.

 

Still debating between the backflip mx4 and Gatortrax.

 

Love my Bakflip MX4. Had one on my last truck for the 8 years I owned it and it was perfect on that truck as well.

 

the low profile look of BakFlip MX4 is awesome.

 

Go with the Undercover Armor Flex if you're considering the MX4.
Undercover and BakFlip are sister companies. The Armor Flex is basically identical the the MX4.
Except that the outside is coated with Line-X bed coating. Almost scratch proof.

I had the Undercover Armor Flex on my truck. Couple things - the lineX coating is only on the top (exposed) side. The bottom can still scratch pretty easily. Also the way the Cover installs, it's mounting rails cover your entire track system. The Bakflip relocates your rails so you at least still have it but with the UC I had to add some D-rings to have a few tie down points. Overall though, I was super happy with the cover but sold it as I went a different route.
