should be in business for awhile; He's Lexus and they don't have the same regional setup as Toyota North America. So the rules must be different.
Anyway; He said put his info out there. Also on the Rav forum.

Right; they're all the same company; though unknown how these decisions are made corporate wide. The rules are not the same from region to region; we know that. So it stands that these are regional business decisions.

Irrelevant anyway-it doesn't matter how it's done; Toby is in business; another poster on the Rav4 forum posted he'd just purchased yesterday; I got all my paperwork last week.

Looking for Toyota Genuine Warranty? Nope!

Why would anyone want to take the chance on an extended warranty that Toyota makes money off of selling? The Tacoma is one of the most reliable trucks on the market today, and your odds of winning on this deal are less than 50%.

Plus even if something does happen under warranty, the odds they will say that's not covered by the warranty or weasel their way out of honoring it are high. Just save the money and put it into any repairs that might happen. You would almost need two major things to go wrong before coming out ahead on an extended warranty, as most repairs are going to be under $1,500 at a reputable non dealer garage.

Agreed: it's a personal decision and experienced based. As long as I can get a deep discount, I've never had a toyota warranty NOT pay off or at least break even over 4 toyotas. There is always a switch (drivers window switch is $500.00 for the part, retail) or gasket, or o2 sensor ($200-$250 retail) going bad w/in 8 years. Never had Toyota try to weasel out of one.
