And about what price range would you say for all of that?

I think toyteclifts.com has that setup for around 350, Down South may have the billies for cheaper.

Cool thanks man. I've been reading around some today and from what I'm understanding if I do the aal in the rear I'm likely to experience some bad vibrations and I'm better off just doing the 5100s up front at 1.75 and that's it. Sorry to have so many questions just want to make sure I get everything right before spending a bunch of money lol

Anytime you change your driveline geometry you run the risk of adding vibrations. That being said, I have the 1.5" AAL and do not have vibrations in the rear. It really does depend but a 1.5" AAL shouldn't cause any issues.

Ok cool that's definitely the one I'm going with if I get one. Since i don't offroad and am doing it mainly for looks what would be your recommendation?

I wanted to replace my suspension because the stock Tacoma's suspension sucked. Turns out the cheapest way for me to do so was to add a small lift. I, like you, don't off road and my truck is my daily driver. I went with 5100 at 0 and Eibach coils up front and an Icon 1.5" 3-leaf progressive AAL and 5100's in the rear with a TSB leaf pack and I kept the factory overload in place. I ended up with just under 2" all around. I have a shell, plywood platform and tools in the bed at all times so it settles the back down a little. For an on-road lift, I'm very happy with it. The AAL handles weight very well also, I've been towing and hauling quite a bit lately. I bought a CB drop just in case but haven't installed it yet.

Is there any major difference between the eibach coils and just getting the 5100s or is it more or less here

Picked two of the worst ways to do a suspension lift besides doing some sort of homemade redneck lift...:bananadead:

The difference between 5100's and stock coils and Eibachs is with the stock coil you're preloading the existing coil to get the lift vs allowing a taller spring to provide the lift. I never had my 5100's with a pre-loaded stock coil so I can't speak to the ride quality but I really like Eibachs. I figure if I was going to stiffen up the back, I wanted a stiffer spring for the front also. Personal preference, neither option is bad.

CB drop kit is cheap, it's just 2 bolts and 2 metal spacers. I think it's between $5 and $10. I bought one just in case and never installed it. You might not need it but it's a cheap enough part to have just in case.

So does the preloading put excessive stress or make the stock coils wear out more quickly or anything or should it not hurt it at all? And that's not bad at all..where's a good place to order one just in case?

Preloading puts stress on the spring but nothing excessive. Equate it to what driving around fully loaded all the time would do to your suspension. Eventually all suspension systems start to sag but plenty of members run the 5100 set up and preload their stock springs without any trouble. It's a decent, cheap way to lift the front end of a Tacoma. Wherever you buy your 5100's should be able to provide you a CB drop kit. I got my CB drop kit from Toytec but I'm sure you can find them through other vendors. The one I bought is made by OME (Old Man Emu).

Ah ok that makes sense but that's got me thinkin about the coils lol I saw that it'd be about 180 for those is that about right? I'm planning on getting my 5100s and aal from dsm so hopefully they have one

I also have aftermarket rims I don't think that would make any difference at all would it? It seems like I read somewhere that it could but I don't see how

You will need wheel spacers if you run larger than 265/75/16s. I have the factory wheels still with my Toytec 3" suspension lift.

Yeah you'll be fine with the 245s, they may look a little small though my 265/75/16s don't look bad, but they look a little small with my lift too. Thanks man :)

Yeah I would love to do a 3 inch lift but my tires are still good and it'd look goofy with these tires lol plus it's a lot more money all around

Wait till your current tires are needing replaced then get new tires and a lift at the same time.
