My opinion is this.....If you need extra reserve power, or are in a more harsh environment, get the AGM batteries. A warranty is great on a battery, but it doesn't do shit when your battery is dead 150 miles from town. Out here in AZ, I get about 1.5 years off the OEM battery, and at most, 2 years from any other lead/acid battery. I have yet to have an AGM battery go dead, and have 2 going on 7 years of age....and still strong. SO, in my opinion, its less expensive getting the AGM than a lead/acid. On top of the extra CCA's, and reserve time.

I have a Optima D35 yellow top in my 2012. Fits fine. I have used them before and have not had any problems. Great price at StreetSideAuto.com.

I ended up going with the die hard platinum. My old battery finally gave out today. Must be this storm that dropped about 18" of snow that just nudged it over the edge. So far I'm happy but a battery is after all a battery right.... Lol

Thank you for everyone's input on this.

That's a good battery, and should last you a while.

Kirkland is the Cosco branding. Both wet Kirkland and Interstate batteries are manufactured by Johnson Controls. Within a BCI Group number, case colors and markings will vary, but CCA performance and reserve capacity are what count the most.

Although I've had good success with Duralast Gold. I typically get 5 yrs and if not they prorate towards new.

I have the original battery in my 2007 which is 8 1/2 years old. No sign of slowing down.

Optima yellow top, its still an optima regardless of where made. I've only bought 1 battery in the last 10 years, I had an issue with it losing charge at 4 years and they replaced it for free.

Yeah my battery fits just fine too, I did not even think of the fact that it might not fit. I just installed it like I would an OEM battery and 5 minutes later I was done.

I really wanted the optima Yellow top but wasn't sure about it being made in MX now but its good to see people are still happy with them.
