I'm a long time Ford owner looking to buy my first Tacoma. Coming from a full size 4x4 this is a huge change but I really have no use for a full size anymore. Just test drove a 2015 MGM TRD OR DCSB yesterday and was very impressed with the ride and fit/finish. Besides the OR package, extras are tow pkg, matts and sill protectors,Entune audio plus and exhaust tip. Price was 32,069.00 + TTL. Wanted to know if this a good price as dealers here are all over the board with their pricing. They were giving me a good trade and the price seems good from what I've read on this forum. Any input/advise would be appreciated.

That's a couple hundred less than I paid for the same truck minus mats and tip. No deals were to be had that I could find.

Welcome! That is a good price for that truck. I paid a couple hundred more. These trucks have exceptional demand, there isn't the kind of negotiating room like there is on American trucks.

I highly recommend the OR version, you get so many extras with the ATRAC system, locker, better seats, bed inverter, electronic brake booster and more. You can always swap chrome parts for color matched if you don't like chrome, it is far more difficult to swap the functional parts of the OR. If you are not a fan of the 2016 redesign with the smaller engine, I'd say jump on it before it is gone. And obviously MGM is the best color. :D

Decent price especially if they gave you an over allowance on your trade. MGM FTW Ask for a bed mat or cargo net to seal the deal.

That price is pretty close to normal. If that's what you want jump on it quick. That truck won't sit long with the new models coming out.

For what it's worth, these trucks are great. I absolutely love mine.

I'd say that price is about on the spot. Not exceptional, not a rip off. Very normal price.

The Toyota dealer in my town stocks/sells lots of Tacomas. Mostly DCSB TRD OR models.

Just make sure you're okay with a 5ft bed. :) The TRD OR model does indeed come with more features than any other model - assuming you want the additional 4x4 capabilities for off-roading.

FYI - Entune Audio Plus is meaningless. You get a touchscreen. Entune Premium on the other hand... is actually an upgrade. It comes with an app suite for your phone, navigation, etc.

Tow package is a bare minimum in my mind. The floor mats got replaced in two weeks on mine with Weathertechs. Sill protectors and an exhaust tip are very cheap add-ons for the dealer. Makes you think you're getting something extra. ;)

If you're getting a good trade value I'd say that means more than anything else mentioned.

I'd say it's a little high, bought my 2015 DCSB trade off-road out in California for $32,700. Came with door sill protectors and an exhaust tip

That sounds like a good deal. You will love this truck! I bought mine six months ago after having owned full size trucks for 25 years. The only drawback I noticed immediately was the difference in power between the Hemi and the V6 but I was prepared for that. 36,000 miles later I have no regrets....

I'm trying to determine if the 5' bed will work for me and is my only hold up right now. I'm a contractor and have a 6 1/2' bed now which is perfect but I don't always need it. Besides the tow pkg I could care less about the other options. It's nice to have the hd battery and larger coolers for the price and will add a little value when it's trade in time.;) Thx for the info

This is what I wanted to hear, thx! I've been driving a full size for over 20 years, trade them in every 3 and like you I'm prepared for the difference in power and the full size now is really more than I need anyways.

The Tacoma is available in with a double cab long bed if you need it, just not with the Off Road package. I have the short bed for home owner duty. It gets the job done ok, but as a contractor I would want a 6' bed. Carrying an 8' 2x4 is way easier in a 6' bed than a 5' bed.

Personally I don't like the DCLB,they look to long and goofy. I like the ORSB and want to put a 3" lift and tires/wheels and other mods on it. I think I could make it work with the SB,worse case I buy a enclosed trailer and get to use the tow pkg. :D

I want a new Tacoma. Pretty simple really, just a 2015 TRD Sport, JBL, tow. But I want it with the 4Runner's more powerful 4.0 and the 2016 Tacoma's 6 speed transmission.

The DCLB looks too long when it's on factory suspension and sit's low. Once it's lifted, it looks normal.

I was worried about that too, but I've found that I can do almost anything I need with only a couple issues here and there. I'm not a contractor, but I do haul couches, lumber, bikes, mowing equipment, etc...on a regular basis. As long as you're not trying to load up with 16 ft lumber all the time, you should be fine.
