    2" Lift
    I put this in the suspension forum but got zero replies so I thought I would post it here.

    I currently have spacers on the front and blocks on the back. I was told it was a 3" lift but I suspect it is more like a 2" lift.

    DS- front=22.125
    rear= 24"

    PS- front=22"
    rear=23.5"

    Here's the 2 problems I am having;

    I would like my new lift to be an inch lower than what I currently have and I would like the rake to be an inch smaller. If I don't know what height lift I have now how will I know what height lift to get? If I lower my rake, I'm thinking that will pretty much take care of wanting an inch lower lift. at least in the rear.

    I cannot tell that the DS spacer is thicker than the PS spacer for the DS lean issue

    IMG_2080_f9f32c55e7a3e4fa4378ef1e54ff8a1b254d0cce.jpg

    If not, then I'm guessing I don't need a spacer for the lean issue?

    Thanks

    I'm thinking Bilstien 5100's all around with 884 coils. That should put me about 2" higher than stock which is, I think, where I am now. If I go with the ICON 1.5" progressive AAL that will bring the rear down slightly from where its at now I would think.

    Is my current DS spacer thicker to accommodate for Taco lean?

    You don't need any additional spacers to make up for the lean since you're using oem Tacoma coils which already account for it.

    depends.... my oem coils on stock suspension the truck had lean, so i threw a 1/4in spacer in on the driver side to level stuff out.

    looks like you are pretty level so you should be good. Looks like you have a spacer that would yeild around a 1.5-1.75in lift... i think those spacers sell on ebay are 19-20mm thick and you get ~ 2x the lift amount vs the spacer. so 38-40mm which works out to ~ 1.6in

    Stock is about 20.5" hub to flare. Getting some sort of adjustable coilover would give you flexibility

    So I apparently have about an inch and a half lift then? I definitely don't want to go any higher. Should I go with the 883 coils then? If so, which AAL should I go with? I don't want any more rake, I want a little less.

    I don't know OME stuff, but I would not get more than a 600lb spring if you want a very small lift on a basically stock truck

    I'm gonna agree with this since I just(today)swapped to 600lb coils from 650's on a basically stock/no added weight truck and the ride is soooo much better.

    I don't know anything about OME coils, but the difference is amazing. I run shit over just for fun now because it's so soft and absorbs so well. I should note I also have 2.5 Icon shocks.

    Some people like the stiffer feel of a higher rate coil though. :notsure:

    But I will need it then when I go to 5100's and 883 or 884 coils, correct?

    Yes. Those coils aren't side specific.

    Most 2nd gen OME coils are 580 pounds. The 886 is a 620 pound coil. As the number gets higher, the coil gets longer on 883-887.

    And, while we're on the subject... Taco lean is not a suspension issue. It's a body mount bushing issue.

    Is that fact or opinion? :confused:

    My body mounts are fine and I still have the lean. :notsure:

    If you have the lean, they're not fine. It's a fact. Everyone who replaces their body mount bushings has equal height side to side.

    Weird. That's the first time I've heard that. So EVERYBODY who has a lean coincidentally has a lean towards the drivers side due to a collapsed bushing only on the drivers side? Seems kinda far fetched.
