    Apologies for being repetitive...

If you are worried about weight (like we should be), try 255/75/17 which get's you to 32.1 inches (0.3 inches better than the 235's, if I'm not mistaken). I've done this with the Cooper AT3 4s (SL rated) that weigh in at 46lbs. So far, they have been outstanding for me. And definitely zero need for trimming/cutting, on or off road.

235/80R17… the E rating is a bit harsh, but I run ‘em a little squishy (≈30psi) and my compression damping is set low.

Having had the heavier tires for several years now and literally having gone off-roading (not 4x4ing) ONCE in baja i would definitely have opted for the Not so aggressive pizza cutters or 265/75r16s to have lighter tires with better fuel economy.

Thanks! It’s a little beast 5speed I just need a locker at some point haha. Anyway, I’ve got the OME with mid Dakar leaves so with my truck since it’s lighter I’ve gotten close to 3” of lift.

    gettin ready for camp season

I feel the 255s are too much for the little 4 banger. Of course this is just my opinion. I looked for the lightest, most aggressive 265/75R16 I could find. That being said if you go 265 you're going to have a lot more choices and when you hit the hills you won't feel like you're losing as much power.

ANNNND a flippac. GTFO.... now you are making me angry with jealousy.

Adding a locker to the rear would literally make the thing unstoppable.

love that paint color! I haven’t run your size but I was thinking about running them before I went with the 235. Do you remember how many pounds your tires are?

haha ya man it’s changed camping life forever, I’m heading out tomorrow for the first time this season. Glad it’s been warm enough to not deal with sub freezing temps. I’ve honestly been thinking about going front locker first and re-gearing to 4.56

These Yokohamas are 55 pounds IIRC. My last set were C rated Pirelli Scorpion MTs and they were 50 pounds. I kinda wished I'd have stuck with the Pirelli's just because they were a little quieter, but ya gotta pay if ya wanna play. :)

Ah ya I remember talking about that I the RC thread, I was looking that those but I was told by discount they are discontinued. I’m assuming you’re running the Geolanders as well? Basically same height you’re just a bit wider ya?

Yup. Geolandar MT G003. They look bigger than my old Scorpions but that may be because of the wear on the old tires. I couldn't say for sure they're any wider, but maybe the deeper tread pattern plays into them looking bigger too?

Only a little rubbing on the plastic in the front. Nothing a heat gun couldn't fix.

Just switched out the 265/70R16s on my 2021 OffRoad 4x4 for 255/80R17 WildPeaks on SEMA gum metal rims. No rubbing so far with 3/2 lift.
