bought my 07 Tacoma with a slight drop on it. he said the blocks were removed from the suspension. I am considering returning the truck to its factory stance, if not an inch or 2 higher. Not sure what to get or what brand. please help!

A few guys on here are running the ironman4x4 lift. It will give a 2" lift with new everything for around 1000. There are a couple of threads on it now if you wanna read up on it and ask the guys what they think of them. Seems the reviews have been positive so far.

4 Bilsteins at .85, eibach coils, wheelers 2 " aal in rear
I also just had 4 Bilstein shocks, front ones set at .85, Eibach coils, and rear 2 inch wheelers aal installed. I got about 2 1/4 lift in front and 2 in rear. Added worx beast wheels (17x9) and 265/70r17 duratrac tires and got almost another inch in lift. So I'm a little over 3 inches. If that's too much you can set the front Bilstein's at zero or leave off the eibach coils ($160) and set the Bilsteins at 1.75. The ride is very good with this set up as many on TW have stated. I bought the shocks, coils, and aal all from wheelers for about $540 or so. Shipping was a bit high I though at about $80. So i came out about $620. Found a local mechanic who installed it all for $250. Go to my profile for more pics.

Setting the front Bilsteins (the rear are not adjustable) at zero gives you the softest (Factory) ride but no extra lift. There is a .85 setting, a 1.75 setting and a 2.5 inch setting. The higher you go the stiffer the ride. If you go with a lift I would leave the Bilsteins low and replace the coils for lift.
Also adding a aal will stiffen the rear. That's what causes the lift. When you add a leaf it strengthens the pack and it doesn't flex as much. Use a block if you don't want to change your ride in the rear. A block just sits under your current set up, between the axle and your leaves.
I am pretty sensitive to a harsh ride myself and all I can say is I'm real happy with the set up I described above. It is firmer but not rough at all. You may want to consider just getting it back to factory specs and see how you like that for now. Lifts are pretty expensive, and can be a headache, so if your not crazy about em anyway why spend the bucks?

I priced the leaf packs a little high. Looks like $300-$400 is more like it if you need to buy them.

Here is a truck with 4 Bilsteins. Front is set at 1.75. No block or aal.IMG_2249.jpg
