I am about to install a some general springs and 5100s. Iv'e been searching everywhere for hardware specs. Im planning on just cutting everything off to save time. In your experience, is that necessary? Ar the old eye bolts reusable?

I will be in the same boat soon. I am pretty mechanically inclined(you’d laugh at my welds but got dammit I can turn a wrench)

I was debating letting a shop install but for those prices I don’t know. By the time I can afford my suspension I may be in a house with a garage where I can take the time to learn/do it myself. Good luck!

Cutting may save a bit of time, but not necessary. Bend a little of the fender well and shimmy the bolt out. The bolt is reusable.
The fender apron covers it up anyhow.

Lol I can't spend a grand in general. With everything I have planned on its own I'll be walking away with like 250 bucks left so my only real options were by myself or with the help of someone on here for a couple hundred dollars

Do you have a spot to do the work? Driveway, garage?

Driveway works... The reason I asked (and I think the reason @CalTacoma09 asked) is sometimes we start planning something like this, and then find out the guy needing the work lives in an apartment with nowhere to do the work.

Is the driveway relatively flat? Doesn't have to be perfectly flat, just flat enough to be safe with the truck up on jack stands.

It’s actually pretty easy. I never messed with suspension until I did mine. Watched a few YouTube videos. And had a print out while I was doing it. It’s fairly simple. The hardest thing was getting the bolts out from the UCA. Give it a shot. And you learn a lot too. Took a little longer then I wished but easy.

Y'all making me confident i can do mine too (once i actually buy the parts lol)
Couple bucks on beers, food and smokes sounds alot better than doubling the cost of my lift.

...unless this means i can double the cost of my parts

Those quotes sound ridiculous. I am still waiting to do mine only have a car port and pretty basic tools would have to acquire more. but for 1200-1500 you can get some pretty sweet gear.
