Well I won't be getting a supercharger anytime soon so are there any small parts I would be able to get?

I hate when people come to TW with a certain amount of money that they just want to "blow", especially when you have no idea what you want. Just saying you want to spend 500 on "some performance parts" just sounds like a waste of money to me.

    Rant over.

    Don't leave us lol.

Ok what I did was I had "x" amount of money to "blow". I knew were I wanted to go with my truck, to one day be a Long Travel street legal prerunner. Came here and kept reading and reading and reading. I knew for sure I didn't want go lose money or go backwards. For example I didn't want to waste money on a Mid travel kit then buy a long travel kit.

So what I think you need to do if figure out what direction you want to go how you want it to look/perform (on road/gravel road to fishing or camping spots ect./Long Travel prerunner/ Rock Crawler/mudding ect.) and either SAVE or spend it on things that will get you to your goal.

Welcome to TW, James. Without a supercharger, faster isn't really gonna happen. I have noticed lightweight alloy wheels do liven it up a tad and that's saying something for my 4cyl truck.

I have also been looking at an cold air intake and a trd exhaust, i know it will probably sound faster than it is but would this add a few ponies?

I can't speak really for the V6. In my experience it's all about the camshaft profile and someone else that knows the V6 would have to speak up about it.

For the automatic transmission, I hear Trans-Go makes a nice little ass kicking shift kit.

That'll make your engine sound louder, but no ponies

Dude, that's the essence of TW. When you're out of ideas why wouldn't you ask the one group that collectively has more information about than everyone but the Toyota Corp?

Headers? Just a thought, in ur price range, ull lose a little low end but gain it plus a little top end, it will be louder so ull "sound faster" and later down the road if u want to charge it, they complement FI well.

Depends on the headers what you lose/gain. The URD Spec-U Lt headers are supposed to be the best ones around. Headers or exhaust are a good investment. A CAI will make it sound better. If it's a manual, then get a short-throw shifter.
