When I was looking for a powder coater, I came across a few that had mixed reviews. That would not do for me. I wanted professional work done. So I asked the manufacturing company that laser cut my parts (they are a large company that manufactures gym & fitness equipment, and sells worldwide) who they used... that was how I was referred to Aero.
Alot of shops out there do powder coating, not all of them adhere to strict professional standards.... the wash has to be monitored and changed frequently, use of top grade coating material....

There may be some good powder coaters closer to you, but you will have to do some searching of your own.

    Just my 2 cents worth.

That seems odd.... since they do "large parts". Did they mention a minimum charge, or what a "huge" order is?

Yes i definitely have enough if i powdercoat rims (and remember dad is helping with tires) . If i did that i would probably still have money leftover too

Problem is i'm still debating between that and the TRD trail team rims...

BHLM is black headlight mod, pretty much where you disassemble your headlight housing and paint the area surrounding your bulbs black. I have not done it yet so others may chime in and correct me. Also: MUST read the write up before doing so, there is a special way you have to do BHLM.

    Gratz!

IMO, if you are still debating hold off. There is a photoshop request thread where you can see how your rims will look as long as you provide the correct pictures, maybe that can help you decide. It can be found here http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/photography/17542-photoshop-request-thread.html

Mine are too :( if you can find something to fix them (Detailing section) you could try one but if they are done for, you may need to buy new headlights for a BHLM in which case you may want to hold off for retrofits

New aftermarket blacked headlights would run you around 200 bucks I think, give or take. But Retrofits are anywhere from $600 plus. Those you can DIY and save a couple hundred I think, but you really gotta do your research first. The reason for retrofits is that normal aftermarket headlights are usually frowned upon by those who retrofit, because their light output is poorer, they aren't always legal, and IMO retrofits looks better and cleaner, not so much clutter going on. Really the only advantage of aftermarket headlights is if you find some that look good on your truck.

Okay, so i could diy the headlights to make them black? I gotta clean them first though...look at how bad this isdyvy2a3a_abeee1dcebc4efaf594a014c2a913fedf8215f1b.jpg

I have been looking at new lights for around $200 that look sweet. If i left the plastic clear, would new black halos or spyders make it appear to be blacked?

I have no idea and am not confident enough to tell you anything about that. That would require some search function  I am sure there are headlight stickies? I know for sure there are BHLM write ups that you might could get some info from. BTW clean those up right away and find out if there is anything you can do to protect them from hairline cracks from absorbing impact. Mine are yellow and probably beyond repair.

Lmao nice, you got your dad into it?

Not a permanent fix, but I usually use Mothers metal polish and clean cloth on the headlights maybe twice a year for 10 mins. A small can will run around $5 and I can always find a clean rag. Just my 2 pennies :)
