im sorry but it is an issue with me i took my truck in for one thing nothing mentioned about the gas petal then i come back and its cut without me even knowing or them telling me. plus now my size 15 foot slides of the gas petal never did that pefore

 

At least they asked, they did mine without telling me

But as said before, you won't notice the diff

 

x2. imo it isn't the "unintended acceleration" was indeed "unintended" by the driver not the truck.

 

This is a serious violation of your trucks civil rights. I would consider hiring an attorney to file assault charges against the dealership on behalf of your truck.

Is it just me or is the cut pedal and weathertech floor mats a bad idea? Anyone notice that their cut pedal can get stuck under the raised lip of the mat? I refuse to let them hack up my pedal only to introduce a problem that was never there in the first place.

 

I have weatertechs and cut pedal and no issues. Had to cut the mats due to the clutch pedal but thats normal... other then that smooth operating over here.

You guys haven't experienced fun until the throttle sticks on an 80s rv with a 440 dodge v8 in it an you have the engine cover off on the inside. Not only are you moving quickly towards hard objects but you have a pissed off big block roaring 2 inches from your leg.

 

My truck came with the Toyota "All Weather Mats", so I had a recall for both the pedal and mats. Since my Driver Mat was cracked and allowed water, mud, etc to seep thru to the carpet, I went in to do the recall solely to get new free mats. I got the mats, but they were not "all weather" as the originals were. Plus, they cut the pedal which really was not needed, and I did not like this at all. So, they offered to install a newly designed pedal which was not cut, so I had it installed as well. If I had to do it all over, I would not do it. I would buy new mats, and keep the original pedal placement. You can go to the dealer and sign a waiver or whatever and not do the recall. There was no need to cut my pedal, and it felt awkward to push on the gas afterwards.

 

Nobody wants the Tranny tsb reflash done I suppose

 

I noticed! It felt like I was pushing on the bottom edge of the pedal, vs on the center of the pedal as normal to give it gas.

It is really funny to me that this is even an issue. I couldn't even tell a difference. I guess if I spent a ton of time staring at my gas pedal, I could probably see that a minuscule amount of plastic was removed, but I guess I have other things to worry about.

 

Tranny flash is only for the 09-10 models because they changed the ecu software. Some people experienced shifting lag. 05-08 never had the problem.

Never did mine. They called and told them I don't want it. Problem solved.
