Loose Nut on steering arm

    This nut is really loose on both sides of my truck. I was just going to tighten it but decided I would confirm with you guys that it wouldn't affect my steering or anything. Thanks for the help.

    No your not gonna affect your steering by tightening only the nut. If these nuts were loose, your alignment might be bad as the nuts lock the tie rod to the tie rod ends which locks your alignment setting.

    New Navigation DVD/CD/TV/AV/Bluetooth Stereo and seat mod spacers, 1" hubcentric spacers, seat heaters....
    this affects the toe on your truck, if they are loose, then your toe could be out of adjustment, you should certainly tighten them (you need two wrenches to do it right), but then you should have your toe checked at an alignment shop ASAP..

    Thank you. I don't know how the nuts got loose.The truck drives fine. I will take it to Toyota tomorrow for an alignment.

    Your probably right. That shop is an hour away. I'll take it to Toyota. They are close. I'm just hoping driving around without the alignment locked didn't mess anything up.
