My antenna mount has become very loose, how can I tighten it? I have taken the antenna whip itself off but can not loosen the chrome nut that holds the plastic part of the mount.

It's probably corroded and cracked below the nut. Mine was like that before I replaced the antenna assembly that is located behind the fender. There is a diy on how to remove and replace it: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/261341-how-replace-oem-antenna-fender.html
