2016 with 55,000 miles, found middle spark plug on passenger side not even hand tight. All others were good.

The rear diff on my 2016 4x4OR build in SA,TX was also 1 qt low from the factory. Glad I decided to check it early on and not wait for scheduled PM..

    So. Many. Stickers.
Wheel mine hard, sunk it in mudholes twice now, engine runs fine, no knocks, plugs are good, diff t case and tranny seals all still good.

Think these cases we're seeing on here are the extreme outliers

I disagree. My truck was almost 2 quarts low on ATF from the factory AND the spark plugs were loose. I didn’t check my diffs before changing the fluid but judging by the very noticeable change in smoothness when selecting gears, I can only assume they were low too.

I paid $3.60 for each Denso plug for my ‘08 at stealership.

I have a question though. At 75K miles I changed my differential and T- case fluids using mobile 1 75w for differential and Castrol 90w ( I believe) . I just now got a new frame at 100K. Do they disassemble all that and refill those fluids when they put her back together? I know I’m in 3 Gen land here but it behaves a little differently while driving. For example, if I decelerate for whatever reason ( with or without braking) then accelerate again, transmission seems ( or drive shaft) seems to bang very slightly. This happened before all this from time to time , but more often it seems lately

Oh , and the box the plugs come in say Toyota . Dunno , maybe they’re more $ on newer trucks?

You can either check it yourself by overfilling it by a pre-determined amount and then measure what poured out during the check, or have the dealer check it during one of their Toyotacare service intervals. I went in for a Toyotacare service and threw the tech $20 before he started working on it and asked him to physically check it. He determined it was over a quart and a half low. It’s written right on the work order.
