Loosing travel at lifting rear suspension. Myth or fact?

I´ve been suggested to lift the back suspension of my truck, because when I installed my OME nitrocharged (mediums)(OME coils on the front too), on 4 corners of the truck it seemed it became a little higher on the front than the rear end.

My question is, if I lift the back, will I loose expansion travel from the rear shocks as they are forced to stay higher? Thanks for the help.

    Mostly stock on 35s
Shocks don't lift, as you discovered since you installed new coils on the front but only new shocks on the rear.

Theoretically yes if you don't install longer shocks you will have less droop travel if you lift the rear, however you will have more up-travel so net travel is the same.

OME rear shocks are not much longer than stock (for 2nd gens at least) rationale being they prevent over-extending other parts of the rear suspension (brake lines and driveshaft I guess).

You need to lift the rear regardless that looks goofy as hell.

I would run from the shop that installed your lift if they didn't question your components prior to installing your lift.

Here you can see that OME shocks are longer and thicker than the bilstein shocks. Also coils.
