The wife and I got tired of working on the house and took an impromptu trip up to Crown King AZ for some San Tan Galatic IPAs. Allot of snow for an hour outside of Phoenix in November....

Also took advantage of the online black Friday madness and bought a CVA Mt Rainer extended hybrid tent. Couldn't pass up 35 percent off. It will be going on that trailer I keep talking about building....

So I've been pretty busy working on a new trailer. All 1/8" 2x4 rectangle tube with the exception of the center piece and cross member that will be between the suspension which is 1/4" 2x4. I bent up some gussets out 1/4" plate today and did the final welds on the frame. Hopefully I'll get the timbren suspension and tires installed on my next days off.

The suspension, wheels, tires and front stabilizer jack are on. Also made a fish plate where the tounge supports come together. Tires are the 255 85 r16s that used to be on my truck. 23.5" ground clearance with 33s!

Hitched it up and went for a cruise around the block to make sure it pulled straight.

Thanks man. There are a couple ugly ones on there but they are strong and will eventually be hidden:p

Been awhile since I posted. Its hot AF in Phoenix so I haven't been moving as fast as I've wanted but still happy with my progress. I have most of the box done. Rear, side cargo doors and exterior mounts for awning, propane, water tank, water heater, spare are done. Also built an adjustable height rack for the RTT and started working on my rear slide outs.

Getting close to putting a deck down and skinning it in aluminum.

Some good news! The glamper is officially sold! The bad news is I'm obviously slow rolling the new trailer so camping has been to a minimum this summer.

We did rent a tab a spent a few days on the Mogollon Rim. Not the biggest fan of the Tab but it served its purpose.

I've been looking all over the place for pre-fabricated trailer fenders that will work with my wheel/tire combo and the offset of Timbren suspension but everything is either too small or semi truck stuff that is way too big.

I went ahead and just built some bolt on fenders. I was going to do 45 degree angles but decided on rectangle shapped since they can double as 40" countertops. They will eventually be skinned in aluminum DP. 20200810_121210.jpg 20200810_121050.jpg
Also cut a piece of expanded steel for the deck storage area.

Look great! I have the same troubles when I put wider tires on my smokers. Usually have them rolled or broke.

Taking a small break from the trailer build for some truck upgrades. We're planning on a Colorado trip in September and hopefully some good 4 wheeling which is prompting the upgrades. *I've spent a stupid amount of money on this truck but for what ever reason I just couldn't bring myself to fork over 180 bucks for the pre-made stiffeners.*

I built some bed stiffeners out of 3/8 bar and a few 1/4 corner gussets this morning.

    [IMG][IMG]

Latter in the week I should have some time to finally install the Remmen brake upgrade kit I won on T3Gs insta contest almost 6 months ago:eek:. I also figure that would be a good time to weld in some Total Chaos spindle gussets.

Aaaaaannndd I ordered the RCI trans and T-case skid to go along with my RCI engine skid.

I put the rear stabilizer jacks on. I used 3/8 plate so the pipe mounts would have more to lift against than the 1/8 outer frame rails. I have 3 of the 3000 lb lift jacks on there now and I discovered I can easily lift the whole trailer with the stabilizers. Should make changing tires and leveling super easy.
    20200812_131004.jpg 20200812_142516.jpg 20200812_143541.jpg
Also finished the rear recovery points. I was thinking of adding some to the front but was thinking they looked stupid and wondering if I would end up banging my knees on them. What do you guys think?
