Only Mod is the box liner on the rockers and up the doors all other work has just been repairs, looking forward to future build.
This is my build thread I don't have pictures of the day I bought it But I will give the low down on what little has been done so far and what's planned. first thing I did was take off the stock dent to hell steps and did the axel seal that was leaking. replaced the headlight with another stock one till I find something nicer (maybe build a projector). and I took off the bug deflector because it was broken. Also sanded and painted the rockers and partway up the doors with box liner cause I drive a lot of gravel and get rock chips fairly often.

    Future work includes
Suspension lift I need to replace the front shocks anyways (not sure which lift yet want 3inch and cheaper but good) any suggestions?
Front and Rear bumpers I want the savage front plate bumper but don't know about the back I also want Plate but savage doesn't make one yet
Rocksliders (Square tube) not sure which brand yet
headlights and tail lights (not sure if they even make anything nice for this year haven't found any yet)
    tail light guards
    CB radio
Try my hand at painting a set of Rims
Off road spotlights and fogs (not sure which ones yet) need more suggestions
light bar for the top and tail light bar for the back
    wheel spacers and 33inch tires
    Weather tech mats all around
after market stereo/built in sub box
    not sure what else yet.

Any suggestions on brands and advice on builds is appreciated hoping to do this over the next year or so.
Pictures will come as the build progresses

I'm actually looking to do a 3in suspension lift but I'm not sure which way to go i want cheap but still able to wheel and use as my daily. Any suggestions? i have looked at the OME lift and the Bilstein 5100 adjustable lift but I'm not sure if there is much else out there for a good price.

Do you have a rear electronic locking differential in your rig? If you do, you have 4.30 gears. You should be fine doing a 3 inch lift and 285s (~32.7" tires). If you do not have a factory e-locker in the rear, then you have 4.10 gears. Depending on how hilly it is around you and the amount of highway driving you do, I would be hesitant to do a 3 inch and 285s without regearing. I would do a 2 inch and 265s (32s) for that scenario.

Either way, I would do the Bilstein 5100 lift if I were you. That's whats in my books after my runner gets moved from DD status to expo rig status. Or Icons. Depends on if I get an engineering internship any time soon. :D

Front: You can do Bilstein 5100s for a Tundra, along with Y/Y and Y/B Tundra coils, on 1st setting for ~2" lift, 2nd setting for ~2.5-3" lift, or 3rd for ~3", but only if you have a plate bumper and winch (a lot of extra weight) up front.

Rear: For the rear, couple of options. ARB 906 coils will get close to 2", perfectly matched with Bilstein/TRD up front on perch 1, or add a 10mm trim packer on each side for slight rake. ARB 890 or 891 will be fine for a 3" in the rear, but not a perfect ride (a little stiff from everything I've read). For a good bit of rake, go Toytec Superflex, or front coils from a Land Cruiser in the rear, as long as you never haul any weight. Toytec would be my choice for a 3" IMO, but will leave you with a good bit of rake. They are a progressive coil, so they will ride nicely regardless of weight in the back, compared to a non-progressive spring (read ARB 890 or 891 - I think!). Shocks, go with extended travel Bilstein 5100s, or 5125s with adapter (not a good idea IMO, especially for a DD), or Tokicos if you can find them!

    Hope that helps lol.

Also, you'll probably want a 1" diff drop for the front, and a panhard drop bracket for the rear. Then you should be golden!

I don't have diff locks (yet) its a future setup once this motor is done and i swap it and the trany out i will do the lockers as well (this thing has 398xxxkms on it) and is in great shape. that being said I'm fine with doing a lift and tires that may put some strain on things cause my intent is to run it into the ground then resurrect it with new drive train. everything front to back. its in great shape and doesn't leak a thing though so who know what will happen with extra strain.

I also noticed you did the Tundra Brake Upgrade how did that go for you and what did it cost roughly?

Oh and no hills here other then a few speed bumps I live on the prairies.

I would definitely recommend diff locks, they're amazing :) and the deeper gears really help with driveability, but gas mileage is worse without going up a tire size :/ In your case, go big or go home! My vote is 3 inch. You can get most everything from wheeler's offroad where they have good prices :)

Tundra brake upgrade was halted in the process of rebuilding my calipers. Pulled the junkyard Tundra calipers apart to find rust in the cylinder housing, so picking up Napa reman calipers today! Will be installed this Saturday if all goes well. Bought all new pads, shims, rotors from Camelback Toyota. Right around $200 from them, and $170 for reman calipers from Napa.
