loses power

my 2010 tacoma double cab 6 cyl has a weird problem. i was wondering if anyone else had the same problem? i will be driving approx. 50 miles per hour and all of a sudden the truck loses power ( like the accelerator pedal hit a dead spot ) the after maybe 1 or 2 seconds it picks right up.
it does it when im on level ground and when the truck is fully warmed up. any help ...............

 

Any error codes, check engine light, etc? Any recent modifications done to the vehicle?

 

no codes and no mods 100% stock 56,000 miles well maintained

 

Check the brake light switch, see if you can get the brake lights to come on without actually depressing the pedal more than 1/4". It sounds like the "accellerator interlock" programming is kicking in, which will bring the engine to an idle even though the accelerator pedal is depressed.

 

Bump... Topcathr, did you ever figure it out? My truck has the exact same problem.

 

Fireman, the truck stopped doing it by itself........still a mystery. I now have 75,000 miles haven't done it again. I wish ya luck

 

That's funny, it did it only twice on one day and hasent done it again for me either. Weird, thanks.
