Hey guys, I got home from college last night for break and got to sleep with my pup for the first time in forever! Well today she decided to eat some bulbs earlier and we are sure it poisoned her. She vomited and has been having bad, colorful diarrhea as well as flooding out garage with uncontrollable drooling. Now she can't stand up and wont eat (which is a rarity with Labs, they still have the instinct to eat everything that is put in front of them). I picked her up from the yard where she laid down and couldn't walk and put her on her bed in the garage, but she actually got up and moved to the concrete floor to lay down.

I am not going to try to explain the bond I have with her, you either know what its like or you don't but i just ask for your support because this is very hard on me.

Here is probably my last picture with her after she laid down for the last time.

Best of luck- Seen some real sick pups pull thru some stuff. If you can call a vet and go from there.

Sorry to hear that you even have to see this much...

we called the vet and they basically said that without knowing EXACTLY what plant she ate there is not much they can do in terms of treatment, especially if she had already vomited and pooped (since it is already in her system). Plus it would be around $2000 to have her examined. Its unfair when you have to decide how much your pet is worth but its not something I can afford or something my parents would cover.

She is at least keeping her head up while laying down so there is still a little bit of hope. I fear if she does make it, whatever she ate probably damaged her kidneys badly.

Thats what the vet said since we would have to go to an emergency pet center or whatever they are called. The vet said too much time had passed since she had ingested whatever it is she ate for them to really do anything rather than keep her comfortable.

She hasnt appeared to be in pain, just uncomfortable from time to time. The worst part about it is that she seemed to think she was being punished at first when we put kept her in the garage. She would slink around us and try and make up. Even worse she acted like she desereved punishment (put tail between legs when we approached her and dropped her head) when she was unable to get up and walk to us when we called her. She felt like she was being disobediant when she was physically inable to follow our commands and that kinda hurts to see
