Loss of power in sand

    Update.. I’ve changed the fuel pressure regulator at the common rail and the truck was back in action.. but after a few kilometers it goes back into the same old slow response. I had an error code for the knock sensors earlier, so I’m gonna change it tomorrow and see what happens ..

    How many kilometers on your FJ? It sounds like a fuel pumping issue. When the vehicle is on an incline.

    the car has done 237k and yeah the powerless starts when the car is on the incline...

    With a full tank of fuel or only when less than a quarter tank?

    Basics. Tires, painted headlighes, UHLM, baby winch in the bed, and heated mirrors :)
    If you do a lot of driving in the sand, maybe check your air filter? could be clogged and causing you to bog down when opening up the throttle
