Loss of power, no crank, no start.

2002 Tacoma 3.4L

When I put the key in the ignition the truck beeps then I turn the key to start and the truck loses power. I disconnected and reconnected the battery and the truck begins to beep again when the key is put into the ignition.

Any feedback would be helpful. Thanks.

 

Clock spring? Seems like when people are having random horn honking problems it's usually related to the clock spring

 

Charge the battery? Maybe it's low.

 

turn on the headlights wait a second then turn to the key to start... if the headlights dim or go out battery is gone or connections are bad.
